But now the film is embroiled in a plagiarism controversy. Writer Subhash Sundar has alleged that the film ‘Shakthi Thirumagan’ is based on a story he wrote three years ago called ‘Thalaivan’. He said, “I wrote the story with Madhavan as the villain and sent it to Dream Warriors Pictures. They are the ones who also produced the film ‘Aruvi’.
