CM Inaugurates Projects worth Rs. 265.56 Crores, Including ISBT and Sports Complex for Fooball
CM Dr. Yadav Gifts Gwalior Development Projects worth Rs. 265.56 Crore
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the state government is committed to the all-round development of Madhya Pradesh and bringing light to every life. The Gwalior-Chambal region will soon become the most developed part of the state. He urged local farmers not to sell their land, as the region is poised for rapid industrial growth and employment opportunities.
CM Dr. Yadav was speaking at the inauguration and foundation laying ceremony of development projects held at the ISBT complex in Gwalior. On this occasion, he dedicated and laid the foundation stones of various development works worth Rs. 265.56 crore at the press of a button. He also distributed benefits to eligible beneficiaries under various government schemes.
The Chief Minister said that river-linking projects are underway in the state. With support from the central government, work is in progress on the National River Linking Project, connecting the Parvati, Kali Sindh, and Chambal rivers at an estimated cost of Rs. 70,000 crore. Additionally, the Ken-Betwa river link will greatly benefit farmers of the Gwalior-Chambal region.
CM Dr. Yadav said that the region’s ravines (beehad) are being scientifically developed. A 2,000 MW solar power plant is being established in these ravines with central assistance. This will be a joint project of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, with both states utilizing the power output in six-month shifts. He added that the upcoming six-lane National Highway between Agra and Gwalior has attracted major industrial investors to the region, which will accelerate industrial development and transform the area.
CM Dr. Yadav, Reflecting on Gwalior’s proud legacy, said this is the birthplace of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee and the land of service of Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia. From here, the flame of India’s development was lit. He recalled how fighter jets from Gwalior took off during surgical strikes to respond to Pakistan, underlining the region’s strategic importance.
CM Dr. Yadav mentioned that just a day earlier, the state government had transferred financial assistance to over 94,000 meritorious students to purchase laptops. Congratulating the people of Gwalior, he said the city has been gifted a truly grand Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT). He also highlighted that Hazira Hospital in Gwalior has been ranked number one in the state, and that young men from Chambal are strengthening India’s military. The construction of the six-lane highway from Agra has encouraged businessmen from Agra to invest in Gwalior. He assured the people that all development demands would be fulfilled in a phased manner.
Union Minister for Communications and Development of Northeastern Region, Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, said that under CM Dr. Mohan Yadav’s leadership, Madhya Pradesh is scripting a new chapter of progress. He said Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is elevating India’s prestige on the global stage, while CM Dr. Yadav is tirelessly leading the state into a new industrial era. Shri Scindia said that CM Dr. Yadav has come to Gwalior with a gift. Responding to the public’s demand, a Dr. Ambedkar Dham is being established in Jaurasi village of Dabra, Gwalior, at a cost of Rs. 8 crore. CM Dr. Yadav has now also approved construction of a grand structure over 50,000 sq ft in the second phase of this dham at the same location. Shri Scindia noted that Sandipani Vidyalayas being established in the state will provide schoolchildren with education on par with private institutions. He further stated that the Central Government is constructing a six-lane highway from Agra to Gwalior at a cost of Rs. 5,000 crore. This highway will reduce travel time between Agra and Gwalior to just 45 minutes. A Western Highway is also under development in Gwalior. Combined efforts of the central and state governments are driving development projects worth around Rs. 12,000 crore in the Gwalior region.
Gwalior MP Shri Bharat Singh Kushwah said that only those with clear intent and policy can lead a state or nation forward. Under the leadership of CM Dr. Yadav, Madhya Pradesh is steadily progressing. He mentioned the construction of a grand memorial to Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Gwalior.
Energy Minister Shri Pradyumn Singh Tomar called it a proud day for Gwalior, highlighting that Hazira Hospital has earned the top ranking and should now be upgraded to district hospital status. He also urged that bypass surgery facilities and large industries be established in Gwalior.
Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat concluded the program by thanking all attendees and affirming that the government is accelerating development works. No region in the state will be deprived of the benefits of development.
