Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah, the cooperative sector in Madhya Pradesh is exploring new avenues. Cooperative societies will be given priority in new initiatives across various fields, including dairy production and industrial development. CM Dr. Yadav observed that implementation of three new criminal laws, under PM Modi’s leadership, justice delivery has been improved. He said that the fundamental rights of citizens are enshrined in the Constitution, and in this spirit, self-reliance and mutual participation of individuals are incorporated in the concept of cooperation. The government has ensured complete transparency in cooperative operations, with new societies now being registered within 30 days. The Chief Minister was addressing the “Cooperative Youth Dialogue” program organised at Samanvay Bhawan on the occasion of International Day of Cooperatives by the Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Union and Apex Bank Training College.
CM Dr. Yadav hoisted the cooperative flag and inaugurated the event by Deep-Prajjwalan. Additional Chief Secretary Shri Ashok Varnwal was also present in event. Guests were welcomed with saplings. During the event, CM Dr. Yadav interacted with college students and responded to their queries. As a symbolic gesture, he handed over a sewing machine toolkit to one of the 30 women who had started businesses through cooperatives.
Gujarat’s Amul Inspired the Cooperative Movement: CM Dr. Yadav
CM Dr. Yadav recalled that after independence, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel initiated the cooperative movement in Gujarat by establishing Amul, which connected thousands of people to dairy production and helped eliminate unemployment. The state government is committed to increasing milk production. Madhya Pradesh ranks third in the country and aims to rise to the top. The goal is to increase the state’s contribution to national milk production from 9% to 20%, with a major role played by the cooperative sector.
CM Shares Key Mantras with Youth
CM Dr. Yadav shared key mantras for youth associated with the cooperative sector, stating that when starting any new work, it is essential to have strong self-confidence. Youth should gain experience in the field they wish to work in and explore how cooperatives can support that work. The leader of a cooperative society must first have complete knowledge themselves and then educate their peers.

CM Dr. Yadav added that the real test of youth begins after completing college education. The state government is working to empower youth in every field. Madhya Pradesh is rich in forest and water resources, and the government is committed to promoting industrialization. The state aims to equip youth with resources so they can lead the state forward. Dialogues are being held with youth across platforms to prepare them for future leadership. Students’ Curiosities Addressed by CM
During the Youth Dialogue program, students asked several questions. Responding to a student’s query about the cooperative registration process and government procedures, CM Dr. Yadav reiterated that a transparent system is now in place and registration of new societies is completed within 30 days. Another student suggested including cooperative-related topics in the school curriculum. Dr. Yadav said that while it is difficult to include every subject in textbooks, people should voluntarily take initiative toward cooperation. There are no restrictions of education or income for joining a cooperative—everyone is welcome.
Sangeeta Solanki Introduced as Woman Driving Safari Jeep in Tiger Reserve
Highlighting innovations in the cooperative sector, CM Dr. Yadav mentioned that under the Cooperative Public Partnership (CPPP) model, women-led societies are operating safaris in the Satpura Tiger Reserve. He introduced Sangeeta Solanki, who drives a gypsy safari in the Madhai region. Sangeeta shared that she safely guides tourists through the tiger-rich forest area and earns around Rs. 14,000 per month. Dr. Yadav cited the the story “Panch Parmeshwar” by Premchand to underscore the values of transparency, clarity, and justice in managing cooperative societies.
