The much-awaited trailer of Agastya Nanda’s upcoming war drama, ‘Ikkis’ was released online. To mark the special day, his Megastar grandfather, Amitabh Bachchan, took to his handle to share his words of admiration and blessings. Bachchan, in a heartfelt note to his grandson, reflected on his journey from a baby in his arms to a Bollywood leading man. “Agastya ! I held you in my hands as soon as you were born,” he began and went on to add, “…few months later, I held you again in my hands and your soft fingers reached out to play with my beard… TODAY you play in Theatres all over the World… You are SPECIAL… all my prayers and blessings to you… may you ever bring glory to your work and the greatest PRIDE for the family.“

About Ikkis
Ikkis is a biographical war drama based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, a Param Vir Chakra awardee. Set against the backdrop of the 1971 Indo-Pak conflict, the film tells the brave soldier’s story of sacrifice.It marks Nanda’s second major outing after his debut in ‘The Archies’, directed by Zoya Akhtar. However, this will be the actor’s first theatrical outing.‘Ikkis’ was initially slated to release this October; however, the drama will now hit theatres in December.
