‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ has taken over the box office and how. The film has surpassed Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’, Vicky Kaushal‘s ‘Chhaava’. On Wednesday, day 7, it has made Rs 25 crore. On day 8, which is Thursday, it made Rs 21.15 crore. Thus, the week 1 collection of the film was Rs 337.4 crore. On Friday, it made Rs 22.25 crore and on Saturday, it saw a good jump, making a total of Rs 38.5 crore. It is expected that the film will grow further on Sunday, which is day 11. Till afternoon, it had made Rs 8.72 crore. With that, ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’, has crossed Rs 400 crore taking its total in all languages in India to Rs 406.87 crore according to Sacnilk.
Meanwhile, at the worldwide box office, the film has touched Rs 590 crore.
