‘Idli Kadai’ directed and headlined by Tamil superstar Dhanush, releasing alongside Rishab Shetty’s ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’, is having a decent run at the box office. As per the latest report, the second Saturday went on to make Rs 1.50 crore.

According to trade analyst Sacnilk, ‘Idli Kadai’ earned Rs 44.25 crore in its first week, with Rs 41.1 crore from the Tamil version and Rs 3.15 crore from the Telugu version. On its 11th day, the film brought in Rs 85 lakh, followed by Rs 1.50 crore on Saturday, taking its total collection in India to Rs 46.60 crore.
Dhanush’s ‘Idli Kadai’ had a steady turnout in theatres on its 11th day, recording an overall Tamil occupancy of 38.80 percent on Saturday, October 11, 2025. The film saw a gradual increase in audience numbers throughout the day, starting with 19.72 percent occupancy in the morning shows, which rose to 38.45 percent in the afternoon and 38.53 percent in the evening. The night shows performed the best, with a 58.48 percent occupancy rate.

Following the death of his father, he returns to his village and decides to revive his father’s modest idli shop, confronting various challenges along the way.
