Trisha Krishnan, the ever-poised South superstar, recently tackled fresh rumours about her personal life with her signature wit. The actress, who has been the subject of chatter claiming she is set to marry a Chandigarh-based businessman, took to Instagram to set the record straight.“I love when people plan my life for me. Just waiting for them to schedule the honeymoon too,” Trisha quipped, effectively putting the gossip to rest.

The Ponniyin Selvan star had been trending recently, not for her films, but for alleged wedding plans. Reports suggested that her parents had agreed to a match with the businessman, someone her family has supposedly known for years. However, neither Trisha nor her family has confirmed these claims.
Trisha’s take on marriage
During the promotion of her Tamil film Thug Life, directed by Mani Ratnam and starring Kamal Haasan, Silambarasan TR, Sanya Malhotra, and Ashok Selvan, Trisha addressed questions about marriage at a press conference.“I don’t believe in marriage. It’s okay if it happens. It’s okay if it doesn’t as well,” she said candidly.
Trisha has previously shared her views on marriage, explaining that she would be open to marrying if she meets the right person, but feels the timing isn’t right. She has emphasised that marriage should be a choice made out of love, not societal pressure, and that she would rather remain single than risk an unhappy relationship or divorce — something she has witnessed among friends.
Past relationships
Trisha was previously engaged to businessman Varun Manian in 2015, but the engagement was called off, reportedly due to disagreements over her continuing her acting career after marriage. She has also been linked to co-star Vijay, though both have clarified that they are just good friends.
