“I have to confess, I’m a little obsessed with the moon, probably more than anything else. I think every poet secretly is. I even have a moon tattoo! So yes, I do this for love, but also a little bit for the moon. Watching it rise after the fast feels almost like meeting an old friend,” said Jasmine Babbar in her exclusive conversation with us
Is Arya Babbar fasting with Jasmine Babbar on Karwa Chauth?
Jasmine Babbar has observed fast on Karwa Chauth for the health, well-being, and prosperity of her beloved husband, Arya Babbar. During our conversation, we asked her if Arya was fasting with her. She replied, “No, he doesn’t fast, but he’s incredibly thoughtful.”
She continued, “He’s always reminding me to put my health first, even on days like this. He’ll keep checking in, making sure I’ve rested, that I’m not overdoing anything. I think that’s his way of expressing care quietly, without fuss. It’s kind, grounded, and very him.”

Further in the conversation, we asked Jasmine about one dish she looks forward to after the Karwa Chauth fast, and her instant reply was, ‘Rajma!’“My mother-in-law knows how much I love it, so she makes sure it’s on the table every year. It’s not particularly linked to the festival, but it takes me straight back to my childhood… simple, comforting, and full of love,” shared Jasmine.For Jasmine, the festival of Karwa Chauth is more than just a ritual or tradition; it is a reminder that love requires effort and can be found in every small moment.
