Madonna, the Queen of Pop, once stunned Bollywood stars by walking out of a live show in the middle of a performance. The unexpected moment happened even as Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Juhi Chawla gave what they later called their life’s best performances. Recalling the bizarre incident on ‘Two Much’ with Kajol and Twinkle Khanna, Akshay revealed how an unusual song dedicated to Madonna turned an exciting evening into an unforgettable awkward moment.
Akshay Kumar recalls the live show
Kumar recalled how they had invited Madonna to a live show featuring top Bollywood stars. “We had gone for a show that was called ‘Awesome Foursome’. I don’t know how this name came up and Madonna came to watch a show, and we were so excited like I gave my best performance whatever I could. Shah Rukh gave his best performance. She (Kajol) gave her best performance and Juhi Chawla also,” he said. The Bollywood stars were thrilled to perform for a Hollywood icon. Each one gave their absolute best to impress her.
Akshay Kumar describes unusual song causing shock
However, the excitement soon turned into an awkward moment when one performer’s unusual act caught everyone off guard. Kumar explained, “Then came this performer, and he wrote this song in the afternoon after he learned that Madonna is coming. He looked at Madonna and said ‘This song’s for you’ and he went on to sing, ‘You look to me a virgin, you have a virgin smile’.” The bizarre lyrics left the audience stunned.

Madonna, who was sitting with her child and her husband, reacted politely at first. Kumar said, “She was sitting there with her kid and her husband, but she was very nice. She waited till the song got over and then got up and walked off in the middle of the show.”
Akshay Kumar recalls Kajol and Tanuja’s reaction
The aftermath of the incident saw Kajol being furious at the performer. Akshay remembered, “I remember Kajol screaming, ‘Why did you sing this song? Why?’ And her mother (Tanuja) was also there. They were all in line to shout at him. He thought he did the best thing. I didn’t know why he sang to her, ‘You look to me like a virgin.’”The whole situation ended the show on an awkward note. Akshay concluded, “That was the end of the show and we didn’t get any Hollywood stars coming to watch a show again.”
