Josh Hartnett experiences a car collision in Canada
Hartnett, who was returning home, was a passenger in a lavish car when he collided with a patrol car belonging to the local police department, Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC), on September 25, according to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. As per the press release, the crash was around 1 a.m. in the city of St. John’s at the intersection of New Cove Road and Elizabeth Avenue, and has caused significant damage to both the involved vehicles. As a result, three people were immediately taken to the hospital for evaluation. Hartnett and the 59-year-old driver are believed to have sustained minor injuries, and the officer was sent to the medical checkups for precautionary purposes. The actor was looked at and has been released for work, according to USA Today.

Josh Hartnett has been reportedly filming for a six-episode limited series in Newfoundland since August, which has been created by Jesse McKeown. Other than the OTT project, the actor is known to be working with Anne Hathaway for Colleen Hoover’s ‘Verity,’ which is set to be released almost a year from now, on October 2, 2026. Directed by Michael Showalter, the star cast includes Dakota Johnson and Brady Wagner.
