US President Donald Trump has a huge problem with Microsoft’s recently-hired global affairs president. Lisa Monaco joined Microsoft in July 2025 as per her LinkedIn profile. As per the profile, Monaco leads Microsoft’s engagements with governments globally. In a post on Truth Social, Trump asked Microsoft to fire Lisa Monaco. Reason: Lisa Monaco’s previous work under the Obama and Biden administrations.Monaco had also reportedly helped coordinate the Justice Department’s response to the January 6, 2021, attacks by Trump supporters on the U.S. Capitol. She served as a security aide in the administration of President Barack Obama and was the deputy attorney general in President Joe Biden’s administration. In the Truth Social post, Trump also called Monaco was “a menace to U.S. National Security, especially given the major contracts that Microsoft has with the United States Government. “It is my opinion that Microsoft should immediately terminate the employment of Lisa Monaco,” he posted.

Laura Loomer raises call to sack Lisa Monaco
It is not clear if Trump’s call to Microsoft to fire Lisa Monaco is linked to Laura Loomer openly questioning Microsoft decision to appoint her. In July, Loomer took aim at Monaco, tying her to Microsoft’s decision to use engineers in China to help provide tech support to the Defense Department. Last week, she also took credit for the President following suit and calling for Microsoft to dismiss Monaco. “After I alerted President Trump to the fact that Microsoft has hired Lisa Monaco to be their new President of Global Affairs, he has just called on Microsoft to terminate her employment,” she wrote on X. In the post, she also tagged Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and asked, “Are you going to comply?”
