CM Dr. Yadav Participates in ‘Shri Krishna Parv’ at Mahalpura Patha
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that ‘Virasat Se Vikas’ is the state’s guiding mantra. The government is following this vision to preserve and enhance Madhya Pradesh’s rich culture and heritage. He announced that the centuries-old Shri Radha Krishna Temple at Mahalpura Patha in Raisen district will be restored and its premises developed to give it a grand makeover. CM Dr. Yadav inaugurated Shri Krishna Festival organised at the temple premises on the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami by lighting a ceremonial lamp.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state government is rapidly progressing towards its developmental goals. Soon, Indore and Bhopal will emerge as metropolitan cities. Raisen, Sanchi, Vidisha, Rajgarh and Narmadapuram are also becoming part of the Bhopal metropolitan area. This will create new employment opportunities for youth in Raisen. He assured that all necessary steps for the district’s development will be taken.

CM Dr. Yadav also dedicated development projects worth Rs. 136 crore in the Sanchi Assembly constituency. He performed Bhoomi-Pujan for 15 Public Works Department projects, including new roads connecting tribal villages and other infrastructure initiatives. CM Dr. Yadav also distributed benefits under various schemes, planted saplings in the temple premises, performed ‘Pooja’ & ‘Gaumata Worship’ and offered fodder.
Temple Restoration In A Grand Manner
CM Dr. Yadav recalled spending a night in Mahalpura Patha village 20 years ago and highlighted Raisen’s glorious past and natural beauty. He said that the temple, where idols of Radha and Rukmini are enshrined with Shri Krishna, will be restored to grandeur. In the coming years, a grand fair will also be organised here. CM Dr. Yadav emphasised that saints are the strength of India’s thriving culture and the government has initiated several projects to preserve heritage.
Lord Shri Krishna Shri Krishna Imparted Knowledge of Dharma, Karma and Science
CM Dr. Yadav said that despite many hardships in life, Lord Krishna uplifted humanity through his divine acts. Lord Shri Krishna conveyed messages of service to Gaumata and rural development. The national bird, peacock, reflects this rural essence and Lord Shri Krishna, by adorning the peacock crown, emphasised the primacy of rural culture. Though young in age, he conqured the tyranny of Kansa and established righteousness. Lord Shri Krishna studied at Sandipani Ashram in Ujjain and through the Bhagavad Gita during the Mahabharata war, gave the world eternal wisdom of dharma, karma and science. Lord Shri Krishna also set an example of humility and friendship by washing the feet of Sudama and extending help in difficult times.
Development Projects for Sanchi Assembly
On this occasion, Sanchi MLA Dr. Prabhuram Choudhary said that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav’s presence in Gairatganj on Janmashtami is a matter of honour. He announced several health and education projects, including a 50-bed hospital in Gairatganj, a 30-bed hospital in Devanagar and the upgradation of the district hospital. Ten new health centers were also dedicated. To connect tribal villages to main roads, Bhoomi-Pujan for 10 new road projects was performed.
The program was attended by district in-charge and Minister of State (Independent Charge) Shri Narayan Singh Panwar, Minister of State (Independent Charge) Shri Narendra Shivaji Patel, MLA Shri Surendra Patwa, former minister Shri Rampal Singh Rajput, Zila Panchayat President Shri Yashwant Meena, district BJP President Shri Rakesh Sharma, Sant Shri Amritdas Maharaj, representatives of Yadav Samaj, members of the Radha Krishna Temple Committee and a large number of local villagers.
History of the Ancient Radha Krishna Temple at Mahalpura Patha
Located near Devanagar in Raisen district, the ancient Radha Krishna Temple houses idols of Radha, Krishna and Rukmini carved from a single white stone. An inscription reveals that the temple was constructed in Samvat 1354 (1297 AD). Vishnu Yajna is also performed here. The nearby fort has 51 step-wells. An idol of Jain Tirthankar Lord Adinath found in the forest is now installed in Devanagar. Other idols at the site include Shivlinga, Nandi, Ganesh, Nagdevta and Nataraj.
