As fans rejoice, actor Matthew Lillard recently shared his views on the matter and how the story needs to make a big comeback.

Lillard, who is best known for his role as Shaggy in the ‘Scooby-Doo’ live-action films, recently opened up about what he thought of the recently announced web series. He shared that He is looking forward to it and that the story needed to make a comeback.He recalled how Scooby Doo was the first introduction of ghost stories and horror-themed stories for children across the world. He added that this new live-action series can act in the same way for many children now. He also added, “My general thought is that I’m really happy for them. I think that the show needs to come back. We haven’t done an animated series now in years, which I think is horrible. I think that it’s a great way for kids to understand storytelling.”

He also talked about what the story means to him and everyone around it. He added, “It’s about friendship and sticking together as a gang and working together to solve mysteries — and that normally it’s a dangerous white man behind a mask. These are the things that kids have to learn.”He also expressed that he is a purist when it comes to ‘Scooby-Doo’, and that even though times are changing, he hopes that the new creators keep the story and essence the same as it has always been. “The core of it is really about friendship. It’s really lovely, and I hope that they hold onto that,” he quipped.
