Chopra said they both came from large families, but the rhythm of conversation could not have been more different. “He loved everything India, and I grew up in the States, it was literally my second home,” she said, adding that they embraced each other’s cultures “in a big way.”
Cultural differences in Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’s marriage
Priyanka Chopra Jonas explained that in Indian households, conversations often overlap and move fast. “Before you finish your sentence, I know what you are saying so I am just going to tell you,” she said, describing how people speak over each other. Nick Jonas learned to jump into lively conversations and speak up when needed. She noted that he has since spent extended time in India and recently celebrated Holi with her extended family.
