Prabhas has started this year on a weak note with ‘The Raja Saab’. The film is clearly losing speed at the box office.On day 17 the movie collected only Rs 34 lakhs in India as reported by the Sacnilk website. The early buzz was big, but it did not stay strong for long. Many shows are now running with low occupancy.

Even with the drop the overall numbers look decent on paper. The worldwide collection of ‘The Raja Saab’ now stands at Rs 205.66 crore. The India net collection is Rs 143.6 crore. The India gross is Rs 171.41 crore. Overseas markets have added Rs 34.25 crore. In the Telugu market the net box office collection is Rs 117.7 crore. On day 17 the Telugu version earned Rs 34 lakhs . Day 16 brought in Rs 23 lakhs. day 15 earned Rs 17 lakhs and day 14 saw Rs 48 lakhs. The Hindi version is also underperforming. The Hindi net total is Rs 24.19 crore. On day 17 it collected just Rs 2 lakhs. The combined collection of day 15 and 16 was Rs 1 lakh. While day 14 saw Rs 15 lakhs.

‘The Raja Saab’ stars Prabhas in the lead role, along with Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar. The film is directed by Maruthi. With this cast and scale the expectations were very high before release. Many thought the film would dominate the box office for weeks. However the final result is turning out to be average at best.
