Candidates registered for the recruitment of Junior Engineer and Assistant Manager posts can now download their hall tickets using their login credentials.The admit card functions as a mandatory document for participating in the examination. It will be conducted in different shifts.WBSEDCL Admit Card 2026 release detailsWBSEDCL issued the admit card on January 20, 2026, for candidates appearing for the recruitment examination for 447 vacancies. The recruitment drive covers Assistant Manager and Junior Engineer (Electrical) Grade-II posts. The examination will be conducted in online mode as a computer-based test.Candidates must download the admit card from the official website and carry a printed copy to the examination centre. Entry to the exam hall will not be permitted without a valid hall ticket and approved identification documents.Posts, vacancies, and selection processThe recruitment is being conducted for Assistant Managers and Junior Engineers (Electrical) under WBSEDCL. A total of 447 vacancies have been notified. The process for the selection of the candidates covers a written examination, interview, and verification of important documents of the shortlisted candidates.The written test will include domain knowledge, English, quantitative aptitude, computer proficiency, and a vernacular language section. The vernacular test will be in Bengali or Nepali while the rest of the other sections will be in English.WBSEDCL exam date and shift timingsThe Computer-based test of WBSEDCL will be conducted on 27th January 2026 in three shifts. Assistant Manager (HR&A and F&A) examinations will be conducted in the first shift from 09:30 am – 11:00 am. Reporting time is 08:00 am. The Junior Engineer (Electrical) Grade-II exams will be conducted in two shifts. The exam in Shift 2 will be held between 1 pm and 2:30 pm, with students reporting by 11:30 am, while in Shift 3, it will be based on reports to appear between 4:30 pm and 6 pm.

The candidates may follow the following steps in five steps to verify and download the WBSEDCL Admit Card 2026 from the website:Step 1: Visit the official website of WBSEDCL: wbsedcl.in.Step 2: On the homepage, click on the Career Tab, afterwards choosing “Apply Online” under the recruitment advertisement.Step 3: Click on the link given as “WBSEDCL Admit Card 2026 for Assistant Manager and Junior Engineer (Electrical)”.Step 4: Fill in the User ID and Password in the space given in the login screen and submit it.Step 5: Save this admit card displayed on the screen by downloading it and keeping it safe in PDF format.Documents to be carried to the WBSEDCL examination centerCandidates who would be appearing for the WBSEDCL examination shall have to carry with them a printed copy of the admit card at the time of examination to the exam centre. In addition to the hall ticket, candidates will have to carry a valid government-issued photo identity card in original like Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, Driving Licence, and Passport, along with a photocopy for verification.WBSEDCL JE and Assistant Manager exam patternThe written examination will contain 85 questions and each question will carry one mark. The duration of the test will be 90 minutes. The paper will have negative marking, wherein 0.33 marks for every incorrect response will be deducted.This includes the section-wise distribution of marks, consisting of 50 marks for domain knowledge, 5 marks for English, 10 marks for quantitative aptitude, 10 marks for computer proficiency, and 10 marks for the test of vernacular language, for which the candidates need to secure the specified marks for the relevant section mentioned by WBSEDCL.
