Actor Kamaal Rashid Khan, last Sunday, was arrested in relation to a gun firing case in the Oshiwara area in Mumbai. Allegedly two bullets had been fired from a gun inside a housing society in Lokhandwala Back Road in Andheri West. Police had arrived after residents reported the firings, and later, after an investigation, the actor was taken into custody. As per recent updates about the case, the actor had fired the rounds when he was cleaning the weapon at his home.

According to an IANS report, police officials revealed that KRK had been cleaning his gun and had fired the rounds at a nearby tree to test if it was working or not. However, due to the winds, the bullets were misdirected into a nearby residential building. KRK identified himself in relation to the case after the police were called to the scene and explained the situation.As per reports, the actor had gotten an official license to have a gun in 2005, after which he had kept it at his residence for over two decades in Mumbai. Recently, as per election rules, the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) was implemented citywide because of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation elections. The actor had then deposited his weapon at the nearby Versova police station. After MCC was lifted, the ‘Ek Villain’ actor went and collected his gun from the authorities and took it out four to five days later to clean it properly. After the incident, he was taken to the Oshiwara police station on Friday evening and was interrogated about the matter by the authorities.

In relation to the case, no injuries were reported by the residents of the building that the bullets were fired at.
