Jeep India has launched the 2026 Jeep Meridian SUV in the Indian market. The higher-spec Limited (O) and Overland trims now feature a manually sliding second-row seat. The adjustable rear bench operates on a 60:40 configuration, allowing the larger portion of the seat to move back and forth by up to 130mm, while the smaller section offers slightly greater travel of up to 140mm.

Jeep says that this flexibility has been introduced to free up additional room for passengers in the third row, making it more comfortable for everyday use and longer drives. Do note that this feature is not offered with entry-level Longitude and Longitude Plus trims. And also, the base-spec Longitude comes with only 5 seats, while the other trims get 7 seat layout. Prices for the 2026 Jeep Meridian equipped with sliding second-row seats start at Rs 30.01 lakh (ex-showroom), while the wider Meridian lineup continues to be priced from Rs 23.33 lakh (ex-showroom).
Features-wise, the Meridian gets a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 9-speaker Alpine audio system, wireless charger, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, wireless charger, dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, and powered and ventilated front seats. Safety features include Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, ABS with EBD, six airbags, hill hold assist, traction control, TPMS, electric parking brake and much more.

Mechanically, the SUV remains the same. It continues to get a Fiat-sourced 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine which puts out 170 hp power and 370 nm torque. Gearbox options include a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic. It also continues to get 4×4 with multiple terrain modes and a low-range mode.
