OpenAI has expanded its India-exclusive ChatGPT Go subscription tier for global users. Initially, it was introduced in August 2025 in India and has now been made available in 170 countries, thus being OpenAI’s fastest-growing plan and one of the cheapest AI plans available in the market. ChatGPT Go is rolling out everywhere ChatGPT is available. In the US, the Go tier starts at $8 per month. In total, OpenAI is now offering three ChatGPT subscription tiers globally. Apart from the Go tier, ChatGPT Plus costs $20 USD per month, while ChatGPT Pro costs $200 USD per month.

ChatGPT Go is designed for people who want expanded access to OpenAI’s latest model, GPT-5.2 Instant, at a lower price. The tier offers more messages, more uploads, and more image creation. This tier now sits alongside OpenAI’s two existing consumer subscription plans: ChatGPT Plus and ChatGPT Pro.ChatGPT Plus is designed for work that requires deeper reasoning, such as writing and editing documents, learning and research, or data analysis.
