The room was buzzing with the familiar excitement. It was because the discussion was around dreams of distant beaches, misty hills, and cultures waiting to be explored. At a Skyscanner event in New Delhi recently, in the presence of Neel Ghosh (Country Manager & GM, India) and India’s beloved traveller influencer Shenaz Treasury, the discussion soon drifted toward one of the most crucial travel questions: Where can women travel safely in 2026?
Shenaz (VJ, actor, and India’s most loved travel storyteller) her answer felt like a bucket list for me. With the confidence of a girl who quit her job and left a successful acting and television career most people dream of, her words landed simply yet powerfully. She shared destinations that are not just beautiful, but safe for women travellers.
“Indians love to travel. We are everywhere.” And so are women; beautiful, independent, curious and fearless. The best part, her recommendations weren’t just about places, they reflected a mindset, a belief system that women don’t need to choose between safety and travel.
Shenaz recommended — Munnar (Kerala), Fort Kochi (Kerala), Meghalaya, the Andamans, Nagaland, Phuket, and Vietnam.
Let’s have a closer look at why these destinations score high:
