During one of her segments, she paid tribute to director Rob Reiner, who, along with his wife, passed away recently after he was found in his home with stab wounds. In the final ceremony, she appeared on stage and paid her tributes to the director in an emotional note.

During her tribute speech, the 44-year-old wore a hat that read “Spinal Tap,” directly referencing one of Reiner’s most popular films, ‘This is Spinal Tap.’ She then continued by saying that “Well, that’s our show. This one went to 11. Thank you guys for an amazing night, and I hope we found the line between clever and stupid. A good Chalamet to you all, good night!”The first line paid direct ode to a famous dialogue from the film between Reiner and co-star Christopher Guest. The tribute on the international stage comes 1 month after he and his wife were found in their home.
