Being one of the most closely monitored young talents in the baseball field, each action of his is likely to attract attention. This time, though, the attention was shifted quite quietly with a series of Instagram stories posted by his girlfriend, Livvy Dunne.Having no bold headings or a clear desire to go viral, Dunne still provided the fans with something they hardly tend to receive a more intimate, less glamorous glimpse into life that exists far beyond the game, gun measurements, and post-game commentary. Their stories were autobiographical, yet not imposed, and that is the very reason why they felt so popular.

Instead of focusing on a single image that is very vivid, the stories illustrated by Dunne were best described as a series. One of the clip showed a serene pool atmosphere with a clear sky immediately creating a relaxed vibe and habitualness. It was not melodramatic or posed dramatically. Rather, it was a portrayal of calm, the type that is a contrast to the stress that awaits Skenes during the season.One of the stories tilted towards humour and practical knowledge. The the frame was filled with a bright yellow Pittsburgh Steelers Terrible Towel indoors that was accompanied with the caption, “we like em big.” The line, held as it appears, was charming and natural. Even a slight glimpse of the dog of the couple lying calmly by the pool with a caption “divaa”, fitted right into the stream and did not make the center stage.These silent Instagram stories did something potent in the case of Dunne whose social media presence is much broader than sports, and in the case of Skenes whose career is placed under constant scrutiny.
