Amitabh Bachchan touched down in Surat on Friday to attend the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) match. The Bollywood Megastar added to the star power at the stadium, as he joined the likes of Akshay Kumar, Suriya, Ram Charan, and legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. However, a video from before its big stage appearance has now gone viral online.

On his arrival in Surat, the scene at the airport turned chaotic after massive crowds gathered to catch a glimpse of him. Several videos going viral online, show fans rushing forward in a bid to meet the superstar. Police and security personnel were also seen struggling to hold the crowds back as they cleared the way for Bachchan to his waiting car. However, due to the crowd surge, with ecstatic fans trying to get photos of the actor, the security team seemed to struggle to maintain distance between the fans and the actor. Viral videos also suggest that a glass panel broke amid the commotion; however, Bachchan escaped the incident unhurt. The clips soon triggered concerns among fans about the veteran star’s safety. One video even features a fan yelling, “Leave him alone, he is 83.”

Later the same evening, Bachchan was seen at his candid best, enjoying his time, interacting with fellow actors from the film industry. He was also seen taking his front-row seat for the opening ceremony. The actor is a co-owner of Majhi Mumbai along with Neeti Agarwal. The other celebrity-owned teams include Tiigers of Kolkata (Sourav Ganguly, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan), Srinagar Ke Veer (Akshay Kumar), Chennai Singams (Suriya), Bengaluru Strikers (Hrithik Roshan) and Falcon Risers Hyderabad (Ram Charan), alongside new entrants Delhi Superheros (Salman Khan) and Ahmedabad Lions (Ajay Devgn).
