MUMBAI: Markets regulator Sebi on Friday said that brokers with less than 10,000 clients do not need to report technical glitches at their end. It also doubled the reporting time for such incidents to two hours, and also excluded brokers from complying to the rules when technical glitches do not affect trading, and also the ones that are external to their system. The financial disincentive structure has also been rationalised, taking into account applicable exemptions, the nature of glitches — major or minor — and frequency of such incidents.
