NEW DELHI: During ‘Operation AAGHAT 3.0’, Delhi Police in the South East district carried out a series of law enforcement and preventive actions across the area. As part of the operation, 285 people were arrested in cases registered under the Arms Act, Excise Act, NDPS Act, and Gambling Act. In addition, 504 individuals were apprehended under preventive action, while 116 listed Bad Characters (BCs) were also taken into custody. The drive further led to the arrest of 10 property offenders and five auto-lifters. During the course of the operation, police recovered 21 country-made pistols, 20 live cartridges, and 27 knives, along with 12,258 quarters of illicit liquor and 6.01 kg of ganja. In gambling-related cases, Rs 2,30,990 in cash was seized. The operation also resulted in the recovery of 310 snatched, robbed, or lost mobile phones, and the seizure or recovery of 231 two-wheelers and one four-wheeler. Overall, 1,306 people were rounded up under preventive measures as part of the exercise.
