State-Level Event Held in Nalwa Gram Panchayat of Ujjain District
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Raksha Bandhan is an eternal bond of mutual affection between brothers and sisters, and where there is Rakhi, there must also be a brother’s gift. Since Raksha Bandhan will be celebrated on 9th August, the state government will transfer an additional Rs. 250 as “shagunto every Ladli Behna (beloved sister) in the state before the festival. Thus, each Ladli Behna will receive Rs. 1,500 in August, including the regular monthly assistance.

Speaking at a state-level event in Nalwa Gram Panchayat of Ujjain district, Dr. Yadav said the government will not stop at financial aid but will also ensure that every Ladli Behna is provided a permanent house. The event marked the distribution of financial assistance to women under various welfare schemes.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister transferred Rs. 1,543.16 crore to 1.27 crore Ladli Behnas as the 26th installment under the Ladli Behna Yojana. He also transferred Rs. 46.34 crore in LPG refill subsidies to over 30 lakh women under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, and Rs. 340 crore in social security pensions to 56.74 lakh beneficiaries.
CM Dr. Yadav stated, “Our sisters are our pride and we will leave no stone unturned for their dignity and welfare”. He announced that until Bhai Dooj (after Diwali), the government will increase the monthly financial aid from Rs. 1,250 to Rs. 1,500, and reiterated the state’s resolve to gradually raise this amount to Rs. 3,000 per month.
The event began with lamp lighting and ‘Kanya Pujan’. Women in large numbers tied Rakhis to the Chief Minister, expressing affection during the holy month of Shravan. A giant decorative Rakhi was also presented to him on behalf of all sisters.
4 Crore Permanent Homes Being Registered in Women’s Names
CM Dr. Yadav said the Central and State governments are fully committed to women’s empowerment under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Over 4 crore permanent houses built under PM Awas Yojana are being registered in the names of women to secure their future. He remarked, “Sisters are the pride of both their maternal and marital families—they are the fortune of our nation”. CM Dr. Yadav said, “Women know how to save and wisely manage money. When money is in the hands of sisters, families and children prosper. Their care brings happiness into homes”. He reiterated that today 30 lakh women received subsidies under the Ujjwala Yojana, and more than 56 lakh pensioners under six different schemes received a total of Rs. 340 crore in their accounts.

Roads to Be Built Even in Remote Hamlets
CM Yadav said the state has already built 5 lakh kilometers of roads and now the government is planning to build pucca (paved) roads even in the remotest hamlets and tribal habitations. He recalled how former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee started the rural road revolution, and under PM Modi’s leadership, the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi is now ensuring financial dignity for farmers. He said the government is sensitive to social needs. Air ambulance and helicopter services are now available for emergency medical treatment, especially for the poor. The “Rahaveer Yojana” was also launched to encourage people to help road accident victims. Any good Samaritan who helps a critically injured person reach a hospital within an hour will receive a Rs. 25,000 reward from the government.
Solar Pumps To Farmers with 90% Subsidy—Boost to Milk Economy
CM Dr. Yadav said the government is committed to increasing irrigation coverage, and is distributing solar pumps at 90% subsidy under the PM Krishak Mitra Suryodaya Yojana to reduce electricity bills. To promote the dairy sector, the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Kamdhenu Scheme has been launched, under which cooperative societies will procure milk from farmers. The aim is to increase milk production from 9% to 20% and make Madhya Pradesh the Milk Capital of India.

The government is committed to celebrating all Indian festivals—Janmashtami, Dussehra, Shastra Poojan, Diwali, and Bhai Dooj—with grandeur. Dr. Yadav also said, “In the coming years, women will be granted reservation in the Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, and State Assemblies, just as they are currently receiving it in local body elections.”
The event was attended by Minister of State for Skill Development and Employment Shri Gautam Tetwal, Ujjain MP Shri Anil Firojiya, Rajya Sabha MP Balayogi Umeshnath Maharaj, MLAs Shri Anil Jain Kalukheda, Shri Satish Malviya, Shri Tej Bahadur Chauhan, Shri Jitendra Singh Pandya, Zila Panchayat President Smt. Kamal Kunwar Devda, and a large number of women beneficiaries from rural areas.
