NEW DELHI: Indian Railways on Friday added 116 extra coaches to trains on various routes to assist passengers facing travel disruptions amid the ongoing IndiGo flight crisis. The additional coaches have been attached to 37 trains across zones.Northern Railways also announced five special trains to manage the surge in passenger traffic as thousands continue to look for alternative travel options following mass cancellations and delays on IndiGo routes.The Railways said the move is aimed at accommodating an unexpected increase in demand. The additional coaches include sleeper, AC chair car and general second-class coaches, which have been deployed based on route requirements.
