CMAT official schedule 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has formalised the examination schedule for the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT)-2026. The Agency, through its latest examination update, confirmed that the national-level test will be conducted on January 25, 2026, in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode, with the paper offered exclusively in English. NTA has confirmed that the Advance City Intimation Slip, a document that informs candidates about the city in which they will be appearing for the test, will be released ahead of the examination. The intimation will be published only on the official website cmat.nta.nic.in. Following this, the admit cards, carrying the examination centre details and reporting instructions, will be released separately.
Application window opened in October
According to the NTA’s earlier public notice dated October 17, 2025, the online application process for CMAT 2026 commenced the same day on the official portal cmat.nta.nic.in. The window allowed management aspirants from across the country to complete registration, upload documents, and pay the examination fee entirely through a digital interface. As in previous years, the Agency emphasised strict adherence to eligibility norms, ensuring that only eligible candidates proceed to the testing stage. The CMAT continues to serve as one of the primary national examinations for admission into AICTE-approved management programmes. With thousands of seats across government, private, and deemed universities filled through CMAT scores, the test remains a critical gateway for MBA and PGDM aspirants seeking admission for the 2026–27 academic session.
In the CMAT exam, candidates are allotted a total of 180 minutes to complete the entire paper, which assesses their skills across multiple sections in a continuous stretch without any sectional time limits. This structure allows test-takers to strategise their approach, shift between sections as needed, and manage their time according to their strengths. The three-hour duration demands consistent focus, balanced speed, and accuracy, making effective time management a key factor in maximising scores.Aspirants are urged to remain vigilant, adhere to official instructions, and prepare in alignment with the confirmed examination framework.Candidates can click on the link provided here to download the official notice related to the CMAT schedule 2025.
