Stellar performances didn’t translate into box office numbers
Directed by Jayan Nambiar, the movie is backed by powerful performances. “It is good to see Prithviraj playing a raw character. The man has charm, and he makes the anti-hero appealing enough to make us root for him, but he falters a bit in the emotional scenes,” reads an excerpt from our review, praising the lead star.Shammi Thilakan’s performance as Bhaskaran Master also garnered applause. “Shammi is super as the Bhaskaran Master, making us laugh at him, sympathise with him and feel exasperated with his stubbornness,” says our review. Further, actors who charmed in supporting roles include Priyamvada Krishnan, Rajashree, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Anu Mohan. However, the praiseworthy performances couldn’t translate into box office numbers.DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers in this article are compiled from our proprietary sources and diverse public data.
