CHENNAI: A 14-year-old girl was gang-raped by four minors, including her boyfriend, in Puducherry, police said. Police detained all four suspects, who are school dropouts and all aged around 17 years. Police said the survivor, studying in Class 9, went to meet her boyfriend in Bahour Friday. But she did not return home even after dusk, prompting her parents to search for her. When they did not find her with any of her friends, they lodged a complaint with the Bahour police. Police began a search operation and located the survivor Saturday, confined in a house in the town. They rescued her and sent her for medical examination. Police said her boyfriend, along with his friends, confined her inside a room and raped her. When police located the survivor, she was in an unconscious state, police said. Police detained the four suspects and launched a search for two other suspects, one of them a minor and another 19 years old. Police said the two are not involved in the sexual assault but were aware of the girl being confined. The four accused are school dropouts and were apparently under the influence of drugs, police said.
